2) Foreign Language Instruction
Curriculum follows the Common European Framework
established by the Council of Europe
with 6 language levels.
BEGINNER LEVEL - Basic User a1 / a2
1- Build strong foundations in the language.
2- Correct with appropriate methods any mistakes and errors in pronunciation, vocabulary and language grammar structure.
3- Build vocabulary, grammar and language structure for effective
and appropriate use of the language.
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL - independent user b1 / b2
1- Reinforce oral and written skills.
2- Build vocabulary.
3- Build grammar and language structure.
4- Teach language tools in relation to language functions.
ADVANCED LEVEL - proficient user - c1 / c2
1- Challenge advanced students toward fluency and proficiency.
2- Get an insight of the cultural aspects.
3- Build literary knowledge in the language.
Work is targeted on the four competencies in languages:
- Listening comprehension
- Verbal expression
- Written comprehension
- Written expression
Homework and assignments are due from class to class to ensure the progression of the students. Regular evaluations and reviews assess progress and assimilation of the language.
