2009:
Our tutor has been tutoring my kids for the past five years. Even though I speak French to them, it is my kids’ second language. English is the language they speak in school and with their friends, and the primary language at home. She has been able to give them the foundations of French reading, writing and grammar that I am not able to teach myself. She is an experienced teacher, and has been able to develop a comprehensive curriculum tailored to their needs. Most importantly, she has a relaxed and participative style and is able to make the lessons engaging for the kids. Thanks to her, the kids’ grumbling about French classes and homework is kept to a minimum. She has also been able to grow with the kids. My daughter is now about to start 8th grade. With her guidance we are putting together a plan for her to take the Regents, French AP and the SAT II over the next 3-4 years, in parallel with her Chinese studies at Hommocks and Mamaroneck High School. I strongly recommend her for anyone looking for French tutoring.

Les cours de français de notre tutrice sont faits dans l'enthousiasme et la bonne humeur. Elle a compris que ses petits ètudiants ont dèjà une journèe complète derrière eux et construit son cours habilement de façon à suivre le programme scolaire de France tout en allant à l'essentiel. La diversitè du matèriel permet de soutenir un rythme de cours très dynamique indispensable pour garder l'attention de l'èlève. La professeur sait animer son cours grace à de nombreuses astuces ludiques (mots croisès/jeux de mots/pendus/rèbus...) que ce soit pour entrecouper les moments de travail plus rigoureux ou pour cloturer agrèablement la sèance. 2007:
Mon fils a suivi le programme de français parallèle de CP/CE, au sein d'un petit groupe de 3 enfants. Les enfants ont fait montre de motivation et de sérieux tout au long de l'année. Les cours étaient très structurés, les devoirs bien dosés, faciles à manipuler et le rythme parfait. Travail académique, jeux de langue, mots croisés, histoires, poèmes, toute une variété d'activités a permis à mon fils de conserver son enthousiasme intact tout au long de l'année, alors qu 'il s'agissait pour lui d'une surcharge de travail par rapport à son école. Il intègre ainsi , avec aisance, en septembre l'Ecole Bilingue Franco-Allemande des Yvelines en CE2. Merci Peekaboo pour ces deux excellentes années qui ont permis à Lorenz d'apprendre à lire, à écrire et les bases de la grammaire et de la conjugaison comme s'il était allé à l'école française!" I have learned a lot, I have discovered new aspects of French that give me a head up for next school year. I have enjoyed the day at the beach which is very friendly and more relaxing, with outdoors classes. I enjoyed board games, I like Monopoly in French. Scrabble was pretty challenging but great fun. On top of that, I have had my first experience as CIT. I had to use my French skills to help out for games and story times for younger campers, and that was challenging too!" (Jun, 15 years old)

2006:
I learned a lot of French in only two weeks! My experience was excellent, I enjoyed playing Hangman in French, Sept Familles, Memory Cards games and Mille Bornes. They were no activities that I didn't enjoy." (Joseph, 12 years old)
I learned more than I thought I would. I benefited from additional private French classes in the afternoon when I asked, otherwise I joined and helped out the younger campers in the activities such as art and craft, or games. Interacting with campers of any ages was great." (Nicholas, 16 years old)
I learned so much more than expected! I loved going to the beach, playing card games, scavenger hunts and of course, talking Spanish. One really good thing was that my Spanish teacher spoke in Spanish the whole time and that really helped." (Nina, 13 years old)

My French native speaking 6 years old son has always been in the US school curriculum. In order to reinforce his French skills - particularly writting skills - we have joined Peekaboo for year round classes. Matthieu has enjoyed very much going to French class (much better than studying with Mummy at home!), he has made outstanding progress while having fun learning. He now masters age related grammar, orthograph and many other skills. He has also developed a passion for reading French books after taking his classes at Peekaboo. I met our French teacher last year through the Alliance Française of Greenwich. She was teaching French to my 7 years old son, every Saturday morning for three hours. I have been very pleased with her teaching because thanks to her my son has made an easy transition going from an American school to the French school.My son liked her very much, and her program was all I expected, clear and fun for the children to learn.
